DJI Launches Matrice 400, The Next Evolution in Enterprise Drones
The latest flagship in DJI’s enterprise lineup, the Matrice 400 redefines what’s possible in aerial operations. Engineered for peak performance, it delivers extended flight endurance, adaptable payload capacity, and next-level situational awareness. Boasting an industry-leading 59-minute forward flight time, a maximum payload capacity of 13.2 lb (6 kg), and an advanced triple-layer obstacle sensing system—featuring rotating LiDAR, mmWave radar, and full-color low-light vision—the M400 is built to excel in the most demanding environments. Whether supporting power grid inspections, search and rescue missions, land surveying, or AEC applications, the M400 enables professionals to accomplish more with fewer flights, in any condition—day or night, rain or shine.

Extended Flight Time, High Speed Performance
The Matrice 400 sets a new benchmark in endurance and reliability, delivering up to 59 minutes of forward flight time—even while carrying a payload—and up to 53 minutes of hovering duration. These extended flight capabilities make it an ideal platform for continuous operations such as search and rescue, firefighting, and wide-area mapping. With the ability to detect and avoid large obstacles, including buildings and terrain features, at flight speeds up to 25 m/s, the M400 ensures safe and efficient navigation in complex environments.
Adaptable Payloads. Seamless Scene Integration.
The Matrice 400 is built to adapt, with a robust 6 kg (13.2 lb) maximum payload capacity that meets the diverse demands of enterprise missions. Its modular design supports seamless transitions between a single downward gimbal and a dual downward gimbal setup. With four external E-Port V2 interfaces, the M400 can simultaneously support up to seven payloads—making it a true multi-mission platform, ready for complex, data-intensive operations.

FAQs
What is the ingress protection (IP) rating of DJI Matrice 400? Can I fly the drone in the rain?
It is IP55 rated. Do not fly in rain heavier than 100 mm / 24 h.
The IP rating is not permanently effective and may decrease due to product wear and tear.
Question Answer What sensing systems are included?
Omnidirectional binocular vision, downward-facing binocular vision, rotating horizontal LiDAR, upward-facing LiDAR, downward 3D infrared range sensor, and six-directional mmWave radar.
How is the obstacle avoidance capability?
Can detect power lines at flight speeds up to 25 m/s for 21.6 mm main lines and up to 17 m/s when detecting both 21.6 mm main and 12 mm distribution lines.
What’s the max payload?
